The Jewelers Vigilance Committee appointed Sara E. Yood as assistant general counsel, the group announced Jan. 10.
Yood will focus on trademark monitoring, the Federal Trade Commission’s upcoming review of its jewelry industry guides, and general legal support.
Yood held several positions in the private sector, including the digital music, intellectual property, and publishing industries. She graduated from Fordham University School of Law with honors and is awaiting admission into the New York State and New Jersey Bars.
Additionally, JVC promoted Suzan Flamm to senior counsel. Flamm joined JVC in January 2008 as assistant general counsel and she conducts mediations, and researches legal issues and drafts legal compliance tools.?
