JSA Offering Reward for Jeweler’s Killer

The Jewelers’ Security Alliance is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for the killer of Mikhail Y. Khachaturov, who died following a robbery at a Phoenix, Ariz., gold-buying store.

Khachaturov, 56, was shot during a stickup at R&R We Buy Gold on Oct. 21, reports say. He was taken to the hospital and died shortly after.

The suspect (pictured, right), is a black male who reportedly wore a tan jumpsuit, beanie, glasses, and a black-and-white backpack.

Anyone with information can call JSA’s reward hotline at 800-325-1883. Tipsters who wish to remain anonymous can protect their identity and still collect the reward.

JSA president John Kennedy says that five jewelers have been killed during robberies this year, as well as one customer and one bystander.

“That’s probably the highest number we have had in the last 10 years,” he says.
