Johnson Matthey Names Sales and Marketing Manager

Johnson Matthey has appointed Mark Danks as its new Sales and Marketing manager of the company’s U.S. platinum group metals jewelry products business based in New York. He replaces B.J. Williams who, after six years on the job, is returning to his home in the United Kingdom to take up a more senior position with the company’s Noble Metals business.

Danks, a native of Southampton, England, earned his bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees in chemistry at Exeter University, Devon, U.K. For the past six years he has been working for the industrial side of Johnson Matthey developing and selling catalyst scavenging products.

Johnson Matthey New York is a primary source of platinum sheet, wire, tube, and casting and more recently, the primary source for palladium casting pieces and tube. It is s division of U.K.-based Johnson Matthey, a specialty chemicals company focused on its core skills in catalysts, precious metals, fine chemicals, and process technology. The company has operations in over 30 countries and employs around 7,800 people.
