JIC to Launch Fall Nationwide Consumer Contest

The Jewelry Information Center is launching Sparkling Snapshots, a nationwide contest celebrating life’s sparkling moments, on Sept. 12.

JIC is asking people to submit photos online of their special life moments and the fine jewelry that is connected to them. The contest will run until Oct. 31. The public will vote on the top 25 finalists Oct. 31–Nov. 28. Winners will be announced Dec. 12. 

The grand prize winner will receive a spa getaway for two to the Montage Deer Valley Resort and Spa in Park City, Utah; a True Knots diamond necklace; a Louis Vuitton travel jewelry case, donated by Jewelers Mutual Insurance Company; and a feature in the “MC Notes” section of Marie Claire.

The top 25 finalists will receive a blackened sterling silver and black spinel necklace by Jane Basch Designs, a $25 Shutterfly.com gift card, and signed copy of Nina Garcia’s Look Book: What to Wear for Every Occasion.

The association is encouraging industry participation to help increase consumer desire for fine jewelry in the run-up to the holiday season.
