Jewels and watches to share stage with the stars at SAG Awards

Amy Peters jewelry collection, Maurice Lacroix Swiss watches, Moissanite, jeweled cases by Terry, and a book on Tiffany & Co. presented by a world-renowned jewelry collector and designer will be among the gifts that will be presented to celebrities backstage during the 9th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.

The SAG Awards program is being held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles and televised live on TNT March 9 at 8 p.m. ET. The products will be combined in a series of gift baskets and presented as a “thank you” gift to nominees, presenters, and other celebrities.

Amy Peters designs rings, chokers, lockets, matte jewelry, bracelets, anklets, and earrings engraved with unique and common “sayings.” Her designs are widely sold in stores in the U.S. and Canada.

Maurice Lacroix Swiss watches, founded in 1961, is one of the most successful newcomers among Swiss watch brands. From its production facility in Saignelegier, Switzerland, the company produces about 150,000 timepieces per year, which are sold in more than 4,000 specialty shops in 45 countries.

Moissanite—a jewel created by Charles & Colvard, Morrisville, N.C. for use in fine jewelry—has fire, brilliance, luster and incredible hardness. It is gaining popularity with actors, models and other celebrities—among those who wear the gem are actress Lea Thompson, athlete Bonnie Blair, model Niki Taylor, and TV personality Nancy O’Dell.

Jeweled cases by Terry filled with lip lacquer from Paris. The cases were created by internationally renowned make-up artist, Terry de Gunzburg.

Neil Lane, a world-renowned jewelry collector, artist and jewelry designer, whose work and collections have appeared on entertainers at many high-profile events, will be giving away the latest book on Louis Comfort Tiffany. Lane is well-known for his personal collection of important pieces by Tiffany. In addition, these same celebrities will be able to choose from gifts backstage during rehearsals and the awards program at a specially designed “Talent Retreat,” created by Backstage Creations, a Santa Monica-Calif., company that specializes in award show gifts and custom backstage talent retreats. The Talent Retreat is a lavishly designed space for celebrities involved in the show before and after their appearances on the program.

Among the items being offered in the retreat, is jewelry from the “Shining Star” collection by Astrik Designs of Toronto. Astrik Jarajian designs exclusive custom crafted jewelry for private clientele and for high end retail stores. The “Shining Star,” won the California Jewelers Association Award and will be offered in three distinct center stones (diamond, ruby or sapphire) to represent the American flag.
