Jewelry Sales Up 6.9 Percent in December

Spending Pulse is reporting that jewelry sales rose 6.9 percent in December, according to a Reuters report.

Jewelry sales were up for the fourth month in a row. Within jewelry, mid-tier mall-based chains suffered, while lower and higher-end retailers remained strong. Excluding jewelry, luxury sales rose 5.5 percent.
