Jewelry, Luxury Web Sites Attract Users

Jewelry, Luxury goods, and accessories Web sites were the strongest performers in December in terms of unique visitors on a month-to-month basis, according to a survey of Web site traffic.

The Web site category of Jewelry/Luxury Goods/Accessories received nearly 25 million unique visitors in December, a 30-percent increase from November results, according to digital tracking firm comScore.

Sports/Outdoor retail sites also posted strong growth for December, increasing 24 percent to more than 38 million visitors, the Reston, Va.-based firm said. Other retail categories among the top-ten include Music (up 24 percent to 26 million visitors), Flowers/Gifts/Greeting (up 17 percent to 45.7 million visitors), and Computer Software (up 14 percent to 30.2 million visitors).
