Jewelry Historians Offer ‘Living Jewels: Art & Culture’ Lecture

The American Society
of Jewelry Historians
is sponsoring a lecture titled “Living Jewels: Art
& Culture” at The Fashion Institute of Technology, Thursday, Oct. 7, at
6:00 p.m. 

Ruth Peltason, founder of Bespoke Books and a former senior
editor and director of design and style books for Abrams, will discuss major
designers who have used the living kingdom of jewels such as coral, shell
cameo, lava, jet, and pearls to create jewelry.

The Fashion Institute of Technology is located at Seventh
Avenue at 27th Street, in New York. Due to building security, those wishing to
