A roundup of jewelry store crimes from the past week:

Pennsylvania Jewelry Store Held at Gunpoint

York, Pa. On June 7, two men demanding jewelry held up a Zales jewelry store in the York Galleria mall at gunpoint. The men removed jewelry from display cases and then fled the mall in a black SUV. No one was injured during the robbery.

North Carolina Jewelry Store Faced with Armed Robbery

Matthews, N.C. On June 7, two masked men armed with a handgun robbed Mr. Professional Jewelry store. According to reports, one suspect jumped over the store’s counter and knocked an employee to the ground. The suspect stole money from the register while his accomplice pointed a gun at the employee. The police are still looking for the two men, caught on surveillance footage.

Suspect Caught in Charlotte Jewelry Robbery

Charlotte, N.C. A 26 year-old man was arrested on June 8 after robbing Brownlee Jewelers. According to reports, police found the man in possession of stolen items at a tattoo parlor 2 miles from the jewelry store. He was charged with armed robbery and possession of a gun by a felon.

Rock Star Robbed of $20,000 in Jewelry

Paris, France. Axl Rose, lead singer of Guns N’ Roses, was robbed of $200,000 worth of jewelry on June 5. According to reports, an undisclosed French model was arrested for the crime after she came forward and returned the jewels. The woman, a guest at the band’s after party, claimed she was unaware of how the items came into her possession.
