Jewelers for Children Elects 13 to Board of Directors

Jewelers for Children announced 13 new directors have joined
their board.

The directors are: Scott Berg, Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry;
John Esposito, JewelAmerica; Dipu Mehta, Rosy Blue; Russell Kwiat, Kwiat;
Rebecca Foerster, Rio Tinto; Dennis Perry, Bulova Watch; Joshua Weinman,
Firestone, Inc.; Michael Langhammer, Quality Gold, Inc.; Debbie Azar,
Gemological Science International; Nabil Abdallah, NEW Customer Service; Tom
Andruskevich, Birks and Mayors; Mark Udell, London Jewelers; and Steven
Velasquez, Gitanjali/Samuels.

All 13 agreed to serve three-year terms and will serve on
JFC committees and assist in fund raising and program development. 

In addition, 10 current directors were re-elected to
additional three-year terms.  They
are: Dan Kisch, Instore Magazine; Matthew Runci, Jewelers of America; Whitney
Sielaff, National Jeweler Network; Jim Rosenheim, Tiny Jewel Box; Jim De
Mattei, Viewpoint Sales & Marketing; Samir Mehta, Paras Diamond Corp.;
Martin Rapaport, Rapaport; Elliot Tannenbaum, Leo Schachter Diamonds; Alexander
Weindling, A. G. Weindling, LLC; and Ulrich Wohn, Tag Heuer.

Officers re-elected to a second, one-year term are: Edward
Bridge, Ben Bridge Jeweler, chairman; Peter Engel, Fred Meyer Jewelers, vice
chairman and vice president for fundraising; Ruth Batson, American Gem Society,
vice president for charity programs; Joel Schechter, Honora, vice President for
marketing and public relations; Terry Chandler, Diamond Council of America,
vice president for special programs; John Green, Lux Bond & Green, treasurer;
Steven Kaiser, Kaiser Time, secretary; and Howard Sherwood, Daniel’s Jewelers,
immediate past chairman.
