This week’s Retailer Spotlight shines on J.R. Dunn Jewelers: The Lighthouse Point, Fla.–based jeweler joined the ranks of retailers to the stars last week when America’s Got Talent judge Sharon Osbourne wore jewels sourced from the store for two consecutive nights on the hit NBC reality show.

According to J.R. Dunn Jewelers vice president Sean Dunn, Adam Graham, the marketing manager for the
American Gem Trade Association (AGTA), works closely with the stylists at America’s Got Talent. Graham suggested that Osbourne wear a pair of
Robert Pelliccia Designs black diamond earrings. (Osbourne—the famous wife of rocker Ozzy Osbourne—frequently wears black ensembles on air.) 

Pelliccia, who has won several AGTA Spectrum Awards, is
Dunn’s uncle. The Lighthouse Point store boasts an extensive collection of the designer’s jewelry. Pelliccia earned an award in the Platinum Innovation Bridal Wear category (a
sapphire and diamond ring set in platinum) in the most recent AGTA design competition.
Graham remembered
the black diamond–set jewelry Pelliccia had submitted last year for
other design categories.   

Unfortunately, the earrings Pelliccia
submitted to AGTA’s 2011 Spectrum Awards were quickly sold. But that didn’t
deter the Talent
stylists from asking about other black diamond designs.

After working with J.R. Dunn’s staff, the show
stylists decided on four black diamond jewelry possibilities from Pelliccia and
J.R. Dunn Jewelers private-label collection. As luck
would have it, Osbourne wore all four black diamond pieces last week.
