The Women’s Jewelry Association is holding its annual member meeting, virtually, on Tuesday. In addition to hearing WJA president Susan Chandler and executive director Jennifer Markas discuss what the WJA community accomplished in 2022, attendees will learn the nominees on the 2023 slate for WJA’s international board of directors as well as the organization’s 2023 theme.

WJA New York Metro Holiday Party: Dec. 14, 6 p.m. ET (in person)

WJA 2022 disco holiday partyThe NY Metro chapter of the Women’s Jewelry Association is hosting its annual holiday party at Bocca di Bacco in Chelsea on Wednesday. The Disco Diamond–theme evening, sponsored by the De Beers Institute of Diamonds, will include dinner, drinks, a raffle, a photo booth, and a photographer to capture all the fun. Advance tickets are $95 for members and $115 nonmembers (at the door prices are $125/$135).

Gem X “B Is For Bulgari” Party: Dec. 15, 6 p.m. ET (in person)

B Is For Bulgari coverIn 1972, Bulgari opened its first boutique outside of Italy in New York City. Fifty years after that auspicious beginning, Marion Fasel and Lynn Yaeger have written a charming coffee-table book chronicling the Roman jeweler’s history in America. Told in alphabetical format (A is for Andy Warhol, H is for Hollywood, S is for Serpenti, etc.), B Is for Bvlgari: Celebrating 50 Years in America will be feted at a holiday celebration on the Upper East Side hosted by the jewelry social club Gem X. ($50 for members and $65 for guests)

Hindman Important Jewelry Auction: Dec. 13, 11 a.m. ET (in person and online)

Diamonds and colored stones in all cuts and varieties, as well as antique and estate jewels from the 19th and 20th centuries, go on the block this week at the Important Jewelry sale organized by Hindman, the Chicago-based auctioneer. Don’t miss one of the sale’s highlights, a ring set with a 25 ct., emerald-cut unheated Ceylon sapphire in a quintessential cornflower blue hue.
