Writer, curator, and NYC Jewelry Week cofounder Bella Neyman will lead a discussion Monday evening at Mahnaz Collection’s Madison Avenue gallery to celebrate the opening of its “Materials in Play” selling exhibition. Among the contemporary jewelry artists who will show their work in the show, which runs through May 5, are Christopher Thompson Royds (London), Pat Pruitt (Laguna Pueblo, N.M.), Amy Lemaire (New York), Carmen Tapia (Taxco, Mexico), and Julia Obermaier (Kempten, Germany).

Members of the Women’s Jewelry Association’s New York Metro chapter are invited to the office of Julius Klein Diamonds to enjoy drinks and industry insights at “Diamonds & Daiquiris: Thinking Outside the Round Brilliant Box.” Are all rounds the same? How many diamond shapes can you think of, and what differentiates them? How many side stone shapes are there? Gain in-depth knowledge of some atypical diamond shapes and learn more about the diamond world.

New York City’s Museum of Arts and Design is holding its annual MAD About Jewelry benefit sale this week. Featuring designs from 50 emerging and acclaimed international jewelry artists, the pop-up event offers collectors and jewelry enthusiasts the rare opportunity to acquire pieces from some of the most innovative creators in the field. Free with museum admission.

Shop for antiques, art, and design at the Philadelphia Show. The annual fair’s concentration of jewelry gallerists includes Kentshire, A La Vieille Russie, and James Robinson, all of whom are bringing their iconic designs. Designed to support the professional growth and educational endeavors of women in the jewelry and watch industries, opportunities include the Helene Fortunoff Women in Retail Scholarship, the Radiant Minds Technology Scholarship, the WJA Diversity Scholarships for GIA Education, the Cindy Edelstein Jewelry Design Scholarship, and the Gabriel Love Foundation Scholarship.
