During the week after Black Friday retailers were busy with
tons of different events. The first week of December is traditionally the time when Ladies’
Night and Men’s Night events encourage women to complete wish lists and men to
fulfill them. Once again social media platforms such as Facebook helped get the
word out to both groups. Other Facebook postings included trunk show announcements,
Christmas countdown reminders, weather-related events, and special seasonal
inventory notices.

“Here is the answer for the trivia question for yesterday:
Real silver. It was made in Germany in the 1600s. The silver was pulled into
thin strips to place on Christmas trees. The question for today is: The first
of these, issued in 1907, was to help ‘Stamp Out Tuberculosis.’ What were
they?”
