JA’s David Peters to Speak at WJA-LA Meeting

The Women’s Jewelry Association Los Angeles Chapter will host a dinner and featured guest speaker, David Peters, for members and guests on Oct. 1 at The Studio Room at Gardens on Glendon, located at 1139 Glendon Ave., in Westwood.

The October event includes cocktails (cash bar) at 6:30 p.m.; a sit-down dinner at 7 p.m.; and a presentation on what you can do now to build customer loyalty and help your business thrive in these challenging time at 8 p.m. by Peters, director of Education for Jewelers of America.

The cost of the event is $55 for members with RSVP; $70 for non-members and members without RSVP. Valet parking is $3.50. Space is limited. RSVP with your name and the number of people in your party to lisa.schoening@gia.edu

Peters works on the design and delivery of education and educational services to JA’s nationwide membership. He also develops methods of making educational resources more readily accessible to retail jewelers across the United States. 

Peters holds a master of science in education and educational technology from Pepperdine University, is a Graduate Gemologist, Certified Gemologist, and has more than 16 years of experience in the retail jewelry industry.

Prior to JA, Peters spent seven years as an instructor at the Gemological Institute of America, where he had extensive experience training retail jewelers. He has also conducted seminars and educational programs at major industry events throughout the United States, Canada, Australia, and Asia.
