James Avery Donates $15,000 in Arts-Related Scholarships

Texas-based jeweler James
Avery donated $15,000 to the Emerging Texas Artist Scholarship Program.

The Emerging Texas Artist
Scholarship Program, founded by the Texas Arts and Crafts Educational
Foundation, will help fund eight scholarships for students participating in an
art program at a Texas college or university.

James Avery has underwritten
the $15,000 Scholarship Program for the past six years. In 2010, the Emerging
Texas Artist Scholarship Program fielded approximately 50 students from six
Texas schools.

“We at James Avery are
extremely grateful that we can share with the communities in which we live and
work. We hope this donation will support and continue to motivate these
students to pursue their passion in the arts. We hope that our contributions
can aid in the enrichment of these students’ on-going education and future,”
Chris Avery, CEO of James Avery, said in a statement.
