As part of the jewelry industry on the editorial side, our job is to keep our eyes open—even bleary eyes—at all times. So walking the streets of New York last night, I found myself squinting at someone’s intriguing headphone jewelry. Except, of course, that it wasn’t. An approach toward this innocent hipster revealed standard iPod ear buds. … But tied and dangling so cheekily!
My disappointment at its not being a “real necklace” was tempered by my belief that designers must have cast this in gold already. Surprisingly, not many. There is, however, one standout that puts bedazzled iGear to shame. Enter Swedish jewelry designer/student Anna Tascha Larsson.
