In sales, just as in life, sports, relationships,
family, or any other aspect of our existence, if you think you can’t accomplish
a certain level of performance, you are right.
You won’t accomplish any of your
goals, succeed in a performance, or realize your
dreams if you don’t absolutely believe that you can. The human mind is an
incredible tool if you use it. You can accomplish almost anything if you simply
put your mind to it.
Many of us
can’t carry on an exercise routine for more than a few weeks, while others will
make a resolution and carry it on throughout their entire life. What is the
difference? I believe it is a combination of three things: dedication, persistence and attitude.
Dedication is the commitment that one makes to
oneself, one’s goals and aspirations. If you don’t dedicate your
entire being to accomplishing your goals, in all aspects of your life, then you
probably won’t. Persistence is the ability to keep trying even after you have
encountered a set back or two. We all know that it is not always possible to
succeed the first time we try to accomplish something. It takes an ongoing and
consistent effort. Your attitude is the
determining factor that will impede your success or allow you to remain dedicated to your goals and objectives. Decide what you want to
accomplish, make your resolution, then make it happen. It may require an attitude adjustment. No one can stop you, except you!
