IDI to Host Pavilion at IIJS

The Israeli diamond industry is reaching out to the Indian market, participating for the first time in the India International Jewelry Show to be held from Aug. 7 – 11 in Mumbai.

The pavilion, organized by the Israel Diamond Institute Group of Companies, will feature 24 leading Israeli diamond manufacturers and exporters who will exhibit their loose diamonds and diamond jewelry collections. The Israeli pavilion joins the key international pavilions of diamonds and jewelry from throughout the world.

IDI declared 2008 as the “Year of India”, and is encouraging Israeli companies to explore business opportunities in the growing Indian market.

“India is a market with huge potential and with a long tradition of creating and buying gem-studded jewelry,” said Moti Ganz, IDI chairman and president of the Israel Diamond Manufacturers Association. “We believe that as India continues to develop industrially and economically, the consumer market for diamond jewelry will show huge expansion. We look forward to cooperation with the very developed Indian diamond industry for the benefit of all. “

IDI’s image booth, 6W092, located within the pavilion, will provide potential buyers with information about the Israeli diamond industry and  the advantages of doing business with Israel, and will register industry members for the Israeli diamond industry Portal site.

A virtual tour of the pavilion is available at: http://www.israelidiamond.co.il/Exhibition_Mumbai2008/map.aspx
