ICA elects president; new board at Jaipur Congress

The International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA) elected a new board of directors at the recent ICA Congress in Jaipur, India.

The new ICA president is Joseph M. Menzie, who previously served as the organization’s vice president. He replaces Israel Eliezri, who is stepping down after four years as ICA president.

Re-elected to the executive committee were Thomas Lind and Avi Meirom, vice presidents, and Ismail M. Kamil as a new secretary.

Four new directors named to the board are Dong Keuk Kim, Tawee Khankeaw, Bhadresh Pandit, Fujio Takada, and Jacqui Grande. Grande has also accepted the new president’s request to oversee the administration at ICA’s head office in New York.

Stepping down from the board in addition to Eliezri, are Santpal Sinchawla, Masao Yuki, Johnson Muthama, and Nanette Forester.
