House of Taylor Jewelry, Inc. said it has added more than 30 new independent retailers in recent weeks. The Los Angeles-based international jewelry company’s presence has expanded to 35 states in the U.S.; Mexico City, Cozumel and Cabo San Lucas in Mexico; and St. Lucia, St. Kitts, St. Thomas, St. Martin, Bonaire, Aruba, Jamaica, and the Bahamas in the Caribbean.
The company, whose principal shareholders include Dame Elizabeth Taylor, Kathy Ireland, and members of the Abramov family, has added 120 products n color stone, pearls, and diamonds to supplement its premium brand, Elizabeth. The company has commenced its peak season marketing campaign to increase consumer awareness of the brands and to strengthen a cooperative marketing program designed to add visibility and drive traffic to retail distribution channels.
House of Taylor Jewelry has also launched a newly designed Web site, http://www.HOTJ.com, featuring high-resolution photographs of the company’s branded jewelry collections and user-friendly navigational tools, including a new interactive investor relations section.
“Our corporate Web site will become an increasingly important extension of our marketing initiatives worldwide as we continue to achieve operational milestones and rollout House of Taylor Jewelry’s multi-brand product lines,” Jack Abramov, president and chief executive officer, said in a statement Wednesday. “Visitors to our site can view selected designs from all three of our brands: Elizabeth, House of Taylor Jewelry, and Kathy Ireland Jewelry Exclusively for House of Taylor Jewelry. The new investor relations section supplements our communications to the investment community about our ongoing progress and was structured to follow best practices and be in full compliance with corporate governance regulations.”
In related news, Taylor signed a deal to give Christie’s exclusive rights to handle future sales of her jewelry, art work, memorabilia, clothing and other personal possessions, the auction house reportedly said on Wednesday.
The auction house previously sold gowns and jewelry for the actress, including a diamond and emerald ring which was her fifth husband Richard Burton’s first gift to her. The proceeds benefited the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation that she established in 1991 and the American Foundation for AIDS Research.
Taylor said Christie’s’ “decision to support my work for people with HIV/AIDS and my love affair with jewelry through House of Taylor Jewelry makes the extension of this relationship exciting,” Reuters reports.
