hotdiamonds accepts settlement in copyright infringement suit

Hotdiamonds says it had settled its copyright infringement lawsuit against Colibri/Krementz. Details of the case are confidential, but Colibri/Krementz has agreed to drop some lines from their Daring Diamonds range, Hotdiamonds officials said in a statement. The suit was filed in the Federal District Court in Maine.

hotdiamonds, distributed in the USA by Prismax Management Services of Camden Maine, is a line of branded ladies and men’s sterling silver and diamond jewelry.

“We will vigorously defend our copyrighted designs and “trade dress” here in the USA,” says Tim Lawrence of Prismax. “While there will be other challenges to our unique and creative designs we are confident our wholesale customers and the consumers will feel secure buying the original hotdiamonds range.”
