Hong Kong Show set for March

The 25th Hong Kong International Jewellery Show, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, will be held March 4-8 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

As the second largest fair of its kind in Asia and one of the top three jewelry shows in the world, it attracted 2,185 exhibitors from 41 countries and regions in 2007. In 2008, its 25th edition, show organizers expect 2,250 from 41 countries and regions.

Themed product displays include Treasures of Nature with diamonds, precious gemstones, and pearls; the Watch & Clock Pavilion; and Le Salon Extraordinaire with precious gems and pearls.

Les Salons Privˆms, located in meeting rooms, will provide the opportunity for buyers to source from a variety of fine jewelry and diamond items in a private environment.

Designer Jewellery Galleria will contain designer collections and design-driven brand names. Antique & Vintage Jewellery area specializes in estate jewelry. Jade Jewellery Section will return after its debut in 2007.

In addition, HKTDC will once again join hands with the Hong Kong Jewellers & Goldsmiths Association, the Hong Kong Jewellery & Jade Manufacturers Association, the Hong Kong Jewelry Manufacturers Association, and the Diamond Federation of Hong Kong, China, to organize the ninth Hong Kong Jewellery Design Competition. Under the theme of “Color of the World.”

The show also will offer a range of seminars.
