Hong Kong Jewellery Design Winners Named

On Feb. 7, winners of the 13th Hong Kong Jewellery Design Competition were announced.

Three entries in the Open Group were honored with best-of-show awards, including a ring called “Interstellar Dream,” created by Ho Kwan Po.

Another ring, the “Soaring Dragon,” earned best-of-show honors for Cherry Ko. The third best of show award went to Tse Ka Wing for his “Flying Dragon in Joy” brooch.

Ngan Ka Yi, from the School of Continuing Education, Hong Kong Baptist University, was named student group champion. Her “Gaming Fire Dragon” necklace, with detachable pendant, also won the Craftsmanship & Technology Award.

The designs of the winners and finalists will be displayed at the 29th HKTDC Hong Kong International Jewellery Show that runs Feb. 16–Feb. 20 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
