Home Shopping CEO: Jewelry Sales Difficult

Jewelry is out with buyers today because people see it as a “selfish indulgence,” Home Shopping Network CEO Mindy Grossman told investors, as quoted by Tampa Bay Online.

She added that the channel’s female customers are far more practical today, looking for products like palates equipment they can use to improve themselves. They also want products that they can use with their family or use to save money.

Overall, HSN’s television sales were flat, the newspaper said. Fashion was another declining segment, according to Reuters.
