The Golden Circle has created a scholarship fund in the memory of Steve Leibman, who died April 14, after a battle with cancer. He was 66.

The Golden Circle Scholarship Fund will send a pre-screened candidate to the Gemological Institute of America School in Carlsbad, Calif., to enroll in its Graduate Gemology program. The idea is to help a student find gainful employment in the gem and jewelry industry.

All funds submitted to the fund will be matched by the Golden Circle. The funds need to be submitted by May 31, so GIA can start its selection process. No pledges will be accepted. Send donations to:
