Swiss luxury watchmaker Girard-Perregaux has partnered with the American Nicaraguan Foundation to create a limited edition timepiece called “Virtus I” (pictured). A substantial portion of proceeds from sale of the 40 watches will go to ANF to help combat extreme poverty in Nicaragua.

“We created the ‘Virtus I’ timepiece to celebrate, continue and reflect on the accomplishments ANF have made toward eradicating poverty in Nicaragua,” says Ron Jackson, president and chief executive officer of Tradema of America.
The “Virtus I” is a chronograph with perpetual calendar, rose gold case and a self-winding movement The first “Virtus I” timepieces will be released in May, and retail for $60,000. For information, go to ltieche@tradema-usa.com or www.AidNicaragua.com.
