The Gemological Institute of America’s scientific journal Gems & Gemology
has received the American Society of Association Executives’ 2010 Gold Circle
Award for Peer-Reviewed Journals.

The award recognizes an outstanding scientific, scholarly, or technical journal
published by an association or nonprofit for its clarity, completeness of author
guidelines, writing style/quality, and peer-review process.

This marks G&G’s 13th Gold Circle Award. The journal has won 34 awards for
scientific merit, technical writing, and print quality since 1981.

The award ceremony was held Aug. 22 at the JW Marriott Hotel in Los Angeles.
