The Gemological Institute of America will host a memorial service for its longtime chairman Richard T. Liddicoat, who died on July 23 in his Santa Monica, Calif., home.

The “celebration of the extraordinary life” of Mr. Liddicoat will take place at 4 p.m. Saturday, August 24, at the GIA headquarters in Carlsbad, Calif.
