GIA Offers Priority Lab Service at JANY

The Gemological Institute of America’s New York Laboratory will offer “priority laboratory services” to Jewelers of America New York trade show attendees during  the trade show this week in New York.

The JANY show runs July 27 – 29 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. GIA priority laboratory services will be provided July 24 – July 29 in New York.

Trade show participants can submit stones at the nearby GIA New York Laboratory’s take-in windows and get their items back before the close of the show. For example, if a stone gets submitted to the laboratory on Friday, it will be available for pickup by Tuesday night.

Tom Moses, senior vice president of GIA Laboratory and Research said, said the New York lab will operate under extended hours: Thursday, 8 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.; and Monday and Tuesday, 8 a.m. till 6:30 p.m.”

If work gets submitted Monday or Tuesday, it will still be afforded priority service and will be shipped back to their owners by their preferred shipping method. There will be no additional charge for this priority servicing during the show.
