The Gemological Institute of America will offer free seminars, classes, and laboratory services at the Tucson Convention Center during the AGTA GemFair and the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show. The events will take place Jan. 30–Feb. 12.
GIA researchers Dr. James Shigley and John Koivula will speak at seminars for gemological discoveries and research. In addition, the GIA Alumni Association will sponsor a dinner, auction, and dance event on Feb. 3.
Other services include a diamond-grading lab class, a field gemology class, and a showcase of GIA museum exhibits.
