The Gemological Institute of America hosted its first GIA
Career Fair in India in collaboration with the Gem & Jewellery Export
Promotion Council March 14 at the Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai.

The fair attracted more than 300 attendees, 55 recruiters,
and 20 industry experts.

The event, which was free to attendees, offered panel
discussions on the growth opportunities in the Indian gem and jewelry industry
along with one-on-one mentoring and recruiting sessions.

Recruiters included diamond and jewelry
manufacturers,retailers, national retail chains, publishing houses, grading,
and education service providers and marketing agencies.
