Gemworld International Inc., Glenview, Ill., publisher of The Gem Guide, will combine its three publications into a single bound publication, distributed bimonthly. Previously, the company produced a publication for diamond pricing, one for colored gem pricing, and Gem Market News covering industry topics.
Gemworld plans to update colored gem prices more frequently, six times a year instead of two, and its online pricing grids will change at least monthly, the company said. The online program is offered at no additional cost to subscribers.
Publisher Richard Drucker said in a statement that the move allows the company to offer "better service" and "a better product." He also noted that subscription rates ($205 per year in the United States and Canada, $275 elsewhere) will remain unchanged.
