Gemvara Adds Marketing Advisor

Gemvara, the Boston-based online retailer of
“customer-designed” jewelry, announced July 7 that Corinne Grousbeck will
assume the role as an advisor to CEO Matt Lauzon.

Grousbeck is a former marketing executive at Saatchi & Saatchi,
as well as a non-profit consultant for such organizations as the Perkins School
for the Blind and the Isabella Stewart Gardener Museum. She plans to grow the
Gemvara brand by developing national
jewelry “ambassadors,” as well as fashion, athletic and lifestyle
collaborations.

“Corinne presented us with incredible ideas and insight
relating to consumer habits and marketing,” Gemvara CEO Matt Lauzon said
in a statement. “In similar fashion to what she’s done for the non-profit
industry, I feel confident that Corinne is going to increase our brand exposure.”

Lauzon
was just named one of the “most intriguing young business owners in America” by
Inc. magazine.
