Friedman’s Inc., Savannah, said comparable-store sales rose 3.4% for the fiscal fourth quarter ended Sept. 27.
In a press release Thursday, the jewelry retailer said net sales increased 8.8%, to $75.4 million from $69.2 million a year ago.
For the fiscal year ended Sept. 27, comparable-store sales rose 4.4%, while net sales increased 7.5%, to $468.9 million from $436.1 million.
As of Sept. 27, Friedman’s had 704 stores in operation, up 8.3% from a year ago. It expects to have about 710 to 715 stores open for the Christmas selling season.
