Tiffany & Co. has entered into a partnership with internationally renowned architect Frank Gehry, who will create an exclusive jewelry collection in collaboration with Tiffany to be introduced in April 2006.

The Gehry Collection will debut with six distinct jewelry collections, including a a selection of tabletop items.

“Our association with Frank Gehry represents another milestone in Tiffany’s heritage as a leader in the world of jewelry design,” said Michael J. Kowalski, the company’s chairman and CEO. “His revolutionary aesthetic has literally redefined architecture, and we fully anticipate that our partnership, combining as it does Mr. Gehry’s genius with Tiffany’s tradition of innovation and utmost quality, will change the rules of jewelry and fashion to equal and spectacular effect.”

“Jewelry is an art form,” said Gehry. “In conceptualizing designs for Tiffany, I worked as I always do, sketching and creating models. Sculptors and painters have inspired me with their ability to make things with their own hands. This process led to the discovery of new ways to give feeling and spirit to form, and realize our shared vision of jewelry that provides a beautiful context for living now.”

The Gehry Collection will launch at select TIFFANY & CO. stores in the U.S. and Japan in April 2006, with other Asia and Europe locations launching in fall 2006.

Gehry has earned the highest awards in the architecture field, including the Pritzker Architecture Prize, awarded in 1989; the Praemium Imperiale from the Japan Art Association in 1992; the National Medal of Arts in 1998; and the Gold Medal from the American Institute of Architects in 1999. Among his many commissions are the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao (1997) and the Walt Disney Concert Hall (2003) in Los Angeles.
