Franck Muller Geneve has created a timepiece, The Totally Crazy Monaco, exclusively for the “Only Watch 07” auction taking place Sept. 20 in Monte Carlo. Proceeds from the auction will support research for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a genetic degenerative disease primarily affecting voluntary muscles.
The Only Watch 07 auction is organized by Antiquorum under the patronage of SAS Prince Albert of Monaco in conjunction with the Monaco Yacht Show. This is the second time that Franck Muller Geneve has contributed to this auction.
The Totally Crazy Monaco timepiece was made in 18K white gold in a Cintrée Curvex case with “Monaco” engraved on the case back. As a result of the Crazy Hours module, the conventional clockwise arrangement of the hours from 1 to 12 is replaced by a new and original order. This order not only permits everyone to assign their own values to the hours but also ensures that despite this freedom accurate time keeping remains unimpaired. The same principle is also applied to the date.
Franck Muller Geneve is a brand under the Franck Muller Group; founded in 1992 by Franck Muller and Vartan Sirmakes with the aim of creating exclusive timepieces characterized by complicated movements and original design.
