Four Carat Diamond Swiped From Ohio Jeweler

Police in Beavercreek, Ohio, are looking for a man and a
woman who stole a 4 ct. diamond from a mall jewelry store April 9.

Beavercreek Police Sergeant James Wuebben tells JCK a man
and a woman entered Rogers Jewelers in Fairfield Commons Mall around 1:30 p.m.,
and told the clerk they wanted to look at diamonds. “They said they were
looking for an upgrade,” Wuebben says.

The clerk took the two to a display case near the
storefront. She took out a 4 ct. diamond, and the suspects grabbed it and fled
from the store. Wuebben says the suspects were in the store for roughly five
minutes.

Police do not know the value of the diamond. They have obtained video surveillance and are continuing an investigation.
