Neal Goldberg, who served as CEO of Zale from December 2007 to January 2010, died March 17 at age 51. No other details were available.
Prior to working at Zale, Goldberg served in top-level positions at the Children’s Place, the Gap, and Macy’s. Following Zale, he worked as chief operating officer at the DocPatient Network.
Goldberg is survived by his wife, Denise, sons Zachary and Max, stepchildren Marinna and Michael, mother Rita, and sister Meryl.
The Diamond Empowerment Fund, where Goldberg served as president of the governing board, paid tribute to him on its website: “Our sincere prayers and condolences are extended to the Goldberg family.”
