Matie Anne Patterson, JCK‘s art director from 1998 to 2004, died Dec. 27 following a long illness.
Patterson worked on numerous JCK publications, including Trendz, Luxury, and Facets, lending a clean and elegant perspective to the art direction within the group.
A graduate of Philadelphia’s Moore College of Art & Design, Patterson is remembered by colleagues as a loyal friend as well as a cheerful and dedicated co-worker. Prior to her work at JCK, Patterson designed books for the Springhouse Corp. in Spring House, Pa., and for North American Publishing Co. in Philadelphia.
Patterson is survived by her husband, David Gatz. Services will be held at the Cavanagh Patterson Family funeral home in Media, Pa.
