Pamela Abramson, former owner of PJ Abramson Jewelers in Orlando, Fla., died Dec. 31, following a fight with metastatic breast cancer. She was 65.
Abramson and her husband Norman relocated to Florida in 1981, and opened her store in 1987. She closed the store this past March in order to travel, and was diagnosed with cancer soon after.
She was a graduate gemologist of the Gemological Institute of America, and was named master gemologist appraiser by The American Society of Appraisers.
Abramson is also survived by her daughter Sascha Abramson of Bloomsbury, N.J.; and her sister Marianne Belan of Albuquerque, N.M.
