Donald LeStage, Jewelry Manufacturer, 70

Donald LeStage, long-time jewelry industry official and community activist in Attleboro, Massachusetts, died Sunday in his sleep, according to a local news source.

LeStage, who was president of family-owned LeStage Manufacturing Company, was 70.

He worked closely with his brothers Richard and Garner LeStage for decades at the company, which was purchased by their grandfather Donald LeStage Sr., in 1916. The company was founded in 1863.

LeStage was also involved in the formation of the Attleboro Jewelry Makers Outlet and was active in the Attleboro Land Trust.

He leaves his wife Linda, son Gregory of Cambridge and daughter Julie McOsker of Norwood. Arrangements for a memorial service have not yet been completed.
