If you thought your dog was content wearing his or
her Orvis fabric collar, guess again; what your dog really wants is the
$378,000 Jeune Chérie diamond and gold collar. Thankfully, Stacy Braverman has
one for sale.
The owner of 6-year-old Bitchnewyork.com recently unveiled the 15 cts. t.w.
colorless diamond and 18k white gold collar for supremely spoiled pooches. The piece
features a 3.5 ct heart-shaped center stone, 5 cts. t.w. stones on the crocodile
leather collar, and 7.5 cts. t.w. melee. According to Braverman, the collar is
“the most luxurious item” ever offered for sale on the site.

“I sell luxury dog products, so a diamond dog collar follows suit with
everything else we do,” Braverman says. Plus, personal taste factors into the
decision: “I like diamonds so I’m sure my dogs would like them, too.”
There have been no orders yet, but Braverman is hopeful that the high-end
collar, which requires six to eight weeks for a New York City–based
manufacturer to make, will find buyers looking to make the holidays sparkle.
All the diamonds are certified by the Gemological Institute of America.

And if you’re going to spring for the collar, you might as well get the 24k
gold Royale Dog Bowl. Some 100 numbered models exist, and debuted about a month
ago, not long after the collar. Each $4,400 model is crafted in Paris by a
designer working with Braverman, takes eight to 10 weeks to make, features a
fleur-de-lis motif, and comes with a dishwasher-safe glass bowl insert. At six
inches in diameter and three inches tall, the bowl is made with small dogs in
mind—namely, Braverman’s six Chihuahuas.
