The Diamond Manufacturers and
Importers Association hailed efforts by the World Diamond Council (WDC) and
NGOs to raise human rights issues at the recent Kimberley Process plenary
meeting held in Jerusalem, Nov. 1-4.
The DMIA was represented at
the Plenary by Ronald J. Friedman, president, and Ronnie van der Linden, vice
president.
