So the ABC “Diamonds” mini-series, which includes a fake De Beers, and a sub-plot about “conflict diamonds” in Sierra Leone, will air Sunday May 24 and Tuesday May 26, which is Memorial Day weekend.
The Memorial Day weekend airing seems to guarantee a pretty small audience, which we can all be thankful for. (Not that African civil war would seem to be much of an audience draw regardless.) The word is, not surprisingly, that the show is very harsh towards the industry, as well as incredibly trashy.
