Diamonds, Dearest: The Joan Earrings by Deborah Pagani

In honor of Joan Crawford’s birthday, jewelry
designer Deborah Pagani has the perfect earrings to mark the occasion. Pagani’s
Joan earrings are inspired by the legendary actress from What Ever Happened to
Baby Jane?
and subject of Mommie Dearest.
While the latter didn’t paint a pretty picture of the star (“No more wire coat
hangers!”), Pagani’s 18k gold earrings would command a striking presence on most, with 5.76 cts. t.w. cognac diamonds, 8.42 cts. t.w. colorless
diamonds, and a Crawford-inspired rock-and-roll sensibility evident in stylized Art
Deco forms. The earrings retail price for $49,200.

“If David Bowie and Joan Crawford had a love child, it would
be the Joan Earrings,” the designer tells JCK.
