Yesterday I met with New York City–based Leo Ingwer, a nearly 70-year-old supplier of classical styles of diamond jewelry. Need bangles, studs, or three-stone or stacking rings? They will surely have you covered. While most of industry is already in the know—the firm has 18,000 retail accounts—newbies may appreciate their name in a rolodex. Some 35 staffers make everything in Ingwer’s Manhattan office. Among the top sellers: halo settings (a bridal favorite for years now) including square-top halos, rose gold settings, and tricolor stackables, like the ones shown. Made in 14k gold, each has 0.36 ct. t.w. diamonds and retails for $1,200.
