The Diamond, Jewellery & Management Institute was launched in November 2004 by the HRD and the University of Antwerp Management School. DJMI is the world’s first industry-specific graduate-level teaching and research institution conceived in response to the clear challenge of today’s global diamond industry to raise its technical, management, entrepreneurial and leadership skills. The DJMI at UAMS is located less than 10 minutes walk from the Antwerp diamond district.

Established in Antwerp in 1964, Diamdel aims to satisfy diamond demand in the secondary market from its branches located within the world’s leading diamond-cutting centers of Antwerp, Hong Kong, Johannesburg, Shanghai, Tel Aviv, and Windhoek. The Hindustan Diamond Company (HDC) is also an associated member of the Diamdel network, yet, unlike other Diamdel companies which are wholly owned by the De Beers Group, HDC is a joint venture between De Beers and the Government of India.
