Designer Day returns to FIT

Designer Day will return to the Fashion Institute of Technology on March 11. Co-sponsored by Manufacturing Jewelers & Suppliers of America and the Jewelers Resource Bureau, the event is designed to provide “education, enlightenment and encouragement” for jewelry design entrepreneurs.

The event will begin at 8 a.m. with a seminar on “Effortless Selling” by Keith Rosen of ProfitBuilders; followed by a seminar titled, “The 3-Minute Pitch” by ViewPoint Showrooms.

At noon, attendees will be treated to a luncheon where MJSA’s American Vision Award student division honors will be presented. The awards are given to outstanding professional and student jewelry designers whose work is influencing upcoming style and design trends.

After lunch, there will be ten breakout sessions. Attendees will be able to choose two sessions.

The day will end with a presentation titled, “Designing for Life,” by Robert Lee Morris that will be followed by a book signing.

The Fashion Institute of Technology is located at 7th Avenue at 27th Street.

Pre-registration is $175 for MJSA and/or Jeweler’s Resource Bureau members and $195 for nonmembers. Onsite registration is $185 for MJSA and/or Jeweler’s Resource Bureau members and $205 for nonmembers. Those who register by Feb. 17 will receive their badge by mail and be listed on the pre-registration roster.
