The Diamond Dealers Club’s executive leadership in New York met with the leaders of the Diamond Administration of China to discuss the improvement of diamond and jewelry trade between China and the United States. |
The DDC advocated for the
removal of trade barriers set up by China, particularly the tax on imports of
polished diamonds. The Chinese diamond leaders voiced their support for
expanded trade opportunities between the two country’s diamond trades.
The Chinese diamantaires also
invited a delegation of DDC leaders to the 2010 China Diamond Conference in
Shanghai this fall.
